SSA Acquisition Improvement Program

We are continually striving to improve our acquisition process. That means we want to be more effective, more efficient, and more responsive to our customer's needs. But to do this, we need your input. We are requesting that anyone who has an improvement idea, or a problem or frustration relating to acquisition, contact us and let us know what it is. Your comments are invaluable to us as we try to improve our processes.

SSA Vendor Repository

This document provides instructions on how vendors can submit information to be included in the newly created SSA vendor database. This database will be used for COTR market research.


System for Award Management (SAM)

The System for Award Management (SAM) is a Federal Government owned and operated free web site that consolidates the capabilities in the former systems called Central Contractor Registration (CCR), FedReg, Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA), and Excluded Parties List System (EPLS).  As with CCR, FedReg, and ORCA, entities wishing to do business with the Government must register and provide representations and certifications in SAM.  As with EPLS, the Federal Government looks up the exclusion status of an entity in SAM prior to awarding to that entity.  SAM will integrate other Federal acquisition-related systems, such as FedBizOps, in the near future.

There is no charge for registration in SAM
