SSI provides monthly payments to people with low income and financial resources, who are 65 or older, or an adult or child with a disability or blindness. The "Basic Needs" PSAs below highlight the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program administered by Social Security. The TV and radio PSAs are available in English and Spanish and highlight the SSI program, who qualifies, and how to apply. If a TV station in your area has not played the PSAs, you can use the materials below to repitch them.

SSA Scam Awareness 2021 TV/Radio PSAs
Scammers pretending to be government employees continue to mislead people into believing they must pay hundreds, even thousands, of dollars to keep or get benefits, or face arrest. Our new ‘SSA Scam Awareness 2021' TV and radio PSA campaign was produced in coordination with our Office of the Inspector General and warns the public about Social Security scams and how to identify and report them. The campaign consists of TV and radio PSAs in :60 and :30 lengths.
